(USS – Prefect of Bluebells(14-15 batch) – An Entrepreneur & Co-Founder and CEO of Agrify Organic Solutions )
I am the Co-Founder and CEO of Agrify Organic Solutions which is an Agritech Start-up focused on Re-Engineering Indian Agriculture at it’s core by providing innovative growing and sourcing solutions for clients whilst empowering marginalised farmers.
We started in May 2019 as a B2B company and today, we are recognised by Startup India and are incubated at NMIMS’ Atal Incubation Centre which comes under Government of India’s Niti Ayog and Atal Innovation Mission.
Being an entrepreneur wasn’t something that I had planned or wanted to do since the beginning but the self -belief and confidence to pull off anything came from my time in USS (14-15 batch). In school, I used to actively participate in extra-curricular activities. The adrenaline rush of going on stage, delivering a performance or a speech is something that I thrived on and helped me become the person I am today. These skills helped me when Agrify raised it’s Seed Investment in November 2019 from a group of Angel Investors who believed in our potential.
Being the Prefect of my house Bluebells also taught me key things about leadership at a very young age- be it delegating work, thinking out- of -the -box, solving problems, competing in a fair way or just the sheer hunger to do well. These qualities which I learnt in school have today enabled me to lead a team of 30 people, effectively!
Time Management is another key trait which I inculcated in school. With all the extra- curricular activities, I had to make sure that my academics didn’t take a hit. In school itself I developed an understanding of how to prioritise which enabled me to do well in both extra-curriculars as well as academics. These learnings come in handy as they help me focus on the important aspects be it personal life or professionally.
