Independence Day Celebrations in the Early Years

The entire EY2 foyer looked colourful and radiant with the colours of our national flag as our little learners were all dressed up in tricolours – peaceful white, bright orange and calming green. Little learners learnt about Independence Day and why it is celebrated. Our learners were excited to hear stories about the father of our nation, the national emblem, national bird, animal, flower and many other things that make our country a very special one.

Our students seemed curious and engrossed throughout the session and marched to the song – Nana Munna Rahi Hu like smart soldiers. The celebration ended with the national anthem of India and a sense of pride was seen on the face of each EY2 student. This celebration helped the learners become aware of their nation; an important step in ensuring that they stay rooted to our rich culture and heritage.
