Storytelling is a unique way for students to develop an understanding, respect and appreciation for other cultures, and can promote a positive attitude towards people from different lands, races and religions.
It also plays an important role in developing literacy and language skills in students. A very renowned story writer once said, “Storytelling is the most powerful way to put ideas into the world.” Yes, stories inspire children’s imaginations to run wild.
This year our students from grades 4 and 5 narrated fairy tales and folk tales in English as well as Hindi language, taking the audience into a world full of imagination, showing poise and confidence developed through rigorous practice and experience.
The success of these young storytellers was evident as they were able to gain the audience’s attention. The listeners were tuned into their stories and were filled with pure pleasure as they got absorbed into each story. What a unique experience for all!
