International Literacy Day takes place on September 8 every year to raise awareness and concern for literacy problems that exist within our own local and global communities. International Literacy Day brings ownership of the challenges of illiteracy back home to local communities where literacy begins, one person at a time.
Taking up the cause of literacy, our learners interacted with the school’s bhaiyas and didis to teach them basic conversational English. Through this sweet interaction, the learners understood the importance of being literate and giving back to the community.
